1. Netflix!
Okay so I know this one may seem a little self-explanatory, but let me tell you that there is nothing better after a busy day than watching an episode of your favorite TV show. Believe me, TV will become a treat!
2. Pizza Runs
Now who doesn’t love a good pizza? This, although it may not seem like a self-care tip, totally is! There is nothing better after a stressful week than ordering pizza and chilling with friends!
3. Play Time?
This one may also sound silly, but trust me, it is one that will have you smiling in no time. Who doesn’t like to get off campus and go swing on the swings or slide down the slide? I know that for me this is a major de-stressor.
4. Showers
Showers in the past have sometimes felt like a chore. It’s just another thing to add into an already busy schedule, but trust me you will learn to love them. This will become a place where you are able to stop and think and just take a break from the crazy university life!
5. Long Car Rides, Loud Music
Did you ever think that something that is so day to day will actually become a major de-stressor in your life? I know I didn’t but after coming to university, I discovered that there is nothing better than cruising around with friends with the beats pumping. (Ps. This is where all the memories are made).
6. Colouring
As a kid this was always something you did to keep quiet. Now that you are an adult you will find it is a great way to relieve stress. There is nothing quite like coloring to waste a couple of hours in imagination world.
7. Sports
Now this tip can go one of two ways. The first way is by playing the sports with friends. There is nothing better than grabbing a volleyball and hitting it on the lawn with friends. The second way is by attending sporting events. This is a great way to take a break, while still being involved in school activities.
8. Dance Parties
Now let’s be honest here, have you ever been dancing with friends and not been smiling? This is again another great thing to do with friends. Who cares what you look like? Just turn on the beats and go at it, I can guarantee that you will have fun!
9. Ice Cream
Who doesn’t love ice cream? Even just the mention of the word makes people happy. This is a great thing to do when you are beyond stressed and just need a pick me up!
10. SLEEP!
Sleep is one of those things that gets forgotten about in the midst of papers and exams but it is essential to the survival of students. Even if you say that you have no time to sleep, try to at least take a nap as it is the most important self-care tip.
