If there is one challenge to living in residence, I would have to say that it is the concept of space. Space is something that we take for granted living at home. You have your living room, your kitchen and your bedroom to spread out in. When you move into residence you make ½ of a room your all in one “me-space”. What program should I take? This is a question that I was asking myself the whole time I was considering universities, and man, it was not an easy one to answer. The degrees that you can take are so unique and all have different pros about them. I remember researching and researching the different program options, and looking at which one would get me closer to my end goal of becoming a teacher.

Choosing my classes was one of the hardest things I had to do when coming to Ambrose. It felt overwhelming to look at the list of classes and outline my first two semesters without knowing profs or if I would have friends in the classes I picked. I thought that this schedule was something that could not be changed. I assumed that when I pushed submit it was gone and my year was set, but, THAT’S NOT THE CASE!

Are you worried about how you will get around in Calgary? Not sure if it’s practical without a vehicle? It is not as big of a problem as it may seem. Many of the students here at Ambrose do not have vehicles, and if they do they are more then will to drive those who do not.
