How Do I Pick My Classes?

Choosing my classes was one of the hardest things I had to do when coming to Ambrose. It felt overwhelming to look at the list of classes and outline my first two semesters without knowing profs or if I would have friends in the classes I picked. I thought that this schedule was something that could not be changed. I assumed that when I pushed submit it was gone and my year was set, but, THAT’S NOT THE CASE!

Although picking your classes may seem like a lot, nothing is set in stone yet! You can change your schedule and move things around until about two weeks into the semester. You can wait until you get here and meet people, meet the profs, and get an intro to your classes before you decide if the class is the right fit for you.

As for having friends in your classes, you don’t need to worry. For most programs the intro classes remain the same and you can be almost certain that you will know at least one person in your class, and if you don’t, you will get to know someone new, which is part of the experience.

Whatever stage you are in when it comes to your Ambrose journey, always remember, the staff are here to help! They do not want to see you struggle, so if you have questions call or email someone to ask. The worst thing they can say is that they don’t know.

So make sure you aren’t making this journey harder than it is meant to be. Everything will fall into place as long as you ask for help when you need it.
