When I first stepped into Ambrose on the first day of classes, I was really worried whether I could meet people. I am quite introverted and not assertive to start off! When I attended the classes that I was enrolled in, I was surprised with the number of students. There were a couple of classes with only 5-15 students. Through that, I was able to meet friends! It was a lot easier to get to know people. I did not only meet friends, but also had the chance to build relationships with my professors. They knew my name and who I was! I did not only get to know people in the class, but also through the program itself; intercultural studies.
The program head of intercultural studies invited all the students who were enrolled into the program to her house several times during the year. We had dinner, games, and sharing time! One of the positive aspects about it was that the group was small! There were only 8 of us, so it was easier for all of us to get to know each other. We all had a common heart and interest of program, which was easier to build conversations here and there! After I graduated from the program, I went into Seminary, where I was also able to meet people. In fact, it was way easier because the class sizes are even smaller! So if you come, don’t worry if you won’t be able to build relationships! Because you will!
